Thai (Traditional) Massage:

Thai Massage involves gentle stretching and rhythmic pressure deep into the muscle. The stretching is Yoga-like. Stress is reduced and muscle soreness is relieved with massage of the muscles, tendons, pressure points and meridians (pathways) .  Comfortable clothes (provided) are worn that allow for movement.  No oils are used.  In Thailand it is known as “nuat pahen boran” literally, the ancient-manner massage.

Swedish Massage:

Classic European technique that promotes overall relaxation through gentle manipulation of the muscles. In this popular modality, the massage therapist uses oil or cream with long soothing strokes, kneading, tapping and friction to improve circulation. Swedish massage relieves muscle tension caused by stress, rids the body of toxins, and creates a heightened sense of well being.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Deep Tissue Massage works deep into the muscle fibers using slower strokes with more direct pressure, and less stretching.  Designed to release persistent tension in the muscle, increase range of motion,  alleviate circulation problems, headaches, and loss of sleep.  It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.  Oils and creams are normally not used.

Combination Massage:

Combines Thai and Swedish massage into what many believe to be the most popular massage type.  Oil or cream may be used depending on the preference of the client.
